Start by picking the emotion that fits right now — happy, sad, mad, scared, surprised, or disgusted. There are no wrong answers. Every feeling is okay.
What happened that made you feel this way? Pick from real situations kids face every day, or describe it in your own words.
A follow-up question helps you think about what really happened and how it affected you. This is where you start to understand yourself better.
Some things that happen are out of your control — and that's not your fault. But how you respond is yours. No matter what you chose, you can always learn and try again.
Everything you shared becomes a story — written in your voice, from your perspective. Save it or print it. It's yours to keep.
Junior Trekker teaches your child emotional literacy — the ability to recognize what they're feeling, name it, and understand why. This isn't a mood tracker or a diary on someone else's server. We believe every feeling is valid, and no feeling makes a person bad. Junior Trekker helps kids understand the difference between what happened to them (which they can't always control) and how they choose to respond (which they can). That distinction builds resilience, not shame.
Nothing is stored permanently. When your child finishes, they can save their story as a PDF or print it. After that, it's removed from our system. Their story belongs to them, not to us.
